Lobby flow at a 68-room Bangkok hotel
A mid-scale property near Khao San asked us to study why guests rated “staff friendliness” high but “arrival experience” middling. Observation showed the welcome drink station sat behind a pillar, so greeters stepped away from eye contact to pour. We relocated the station, added a second luggage rest point, and shortened the verbal welcome to three lines. Within one month, arrival-related comments shifted from logistics complaints to mentions of being guided promptly to the desk.
